I wanna know, what fills you up? We all have something that can re-energize us, something that gets us excited when we think about it/do it! Maybe it's gardening, reading a good book, going to the gym, journaling and meditating, or maybe it's just taking the time to try new things! Whatever your re-energizer is, I want you to start making it a priority in your life! And do not feel guilty about it. We all have a thousand other things we could be doing but I want you to forget about that and show yourself some love!
When we practice self-care (past the occasional spa day) the world around us benefits. We are happier, more confident, and less stressed. We will show up in life with more to give. So, let’s making living fully a priority!
1. Decide that you’re worth it.
First of all, you are. Second of all, you are. Once you have decided that, you get to push past any guilt you might be feeling and treat yourself to some self-care!
2. Schedule it in.
Now that you've decided that you're worth it, make it happen! It's a necessary part of your life and you need to schedule around it.
3. Tell your friends what you’re up too.
Like an accountability partner. Tell your friend, "hey, I’m gonna start making more time for myself and you should too!" Then I want you to connect with that person every week. Make sure that you are both staying true to your word.
Living a life where you care about yourself can sometimes be a struggle. The world tells us that that is selfish and unrealistic. We often see things specifically designed to make us dislike ourselves. It's the worst. But once you have started to speak kindly to yourself, nip any self-sabotaging patterns in the bud, and care about yourself, you are telling the world that it's opinion doesn't matter and you are giving the people around you permission to do the same! To up-level their lives and shine bright in this world. So let's all work together on ourselves and make this world a beautiful and inspiring place to be!
